How the money works. Your plan covers the program itself plus an included generation budget. Inside Coveboard, a Nano Banana 2 image runs about a dime and a 5-second Seedance 2.0 clip about two dollars, and the bigger your plan, the less every generation costs: Pro pays 10% less than Solo, Team pays 20% less. The exact price sits on the Generate button before you commit, every time. Your monthly budget refreshes each cycle and unused budget rolls into the next month; anything you top up on the side stays until you spend it. Storage is deliberately generous, because your work should never be the thing you ration.

What is Cove?

Cove is the creative partner built into the app. It writes and improves prompts for whichever model you have selected, recommends models using live human-preference rankings and real prices, plans multi-shot batches you can run with one click, explains failed generations, and remembers what each board is about. It comes with every plan, including the trial.

Can I try it without paying?

Yes, twice over. A free account gives you one full board forever: unlimited items, storyboards, exports, and a share link your clients can open, no card required. When you're ready to generate and need more boards, every plan starts with a 7-day free trial that includes $1.50 of generations.

How does the free trial work?

Pick any plan and you get 7 days free with $1.50 of generations to try the real thing. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. Your card is only charged when the trial converts.

What happens to unused generations?

Unused monthly budget rolls into the next month, up to one extra month's worth. Top-ups you buy separately never expire and stay on your balance until you use them.

How does Team work?

One person buys the Team plan and gets 3 editor seats, 3 TB of pooled storage, and $100 of pooled generations a month at 20% off. Teammates join free on a seat, viewers are free and unlimited, and extra seats are $39 a month, each adding storage and budget. Team boards belong to the team: every file anyone drops on them lives in team storage, so nothing disappears when a freelancer's gig ends. There is one bill, one balance, and a spend log.

Can freelancers work on my board without a seat?

Yes. Anyone you invite as an editor can work with you as a guest for up to 5 days a month, billed to your board's balance if you cover generations. Solo includes 3 guests a month, Pro 8, Team 15. When someone crosses 5 days, that's your sign they need a seat.

Do I need my own API keys?

No. Coveboard runs everything through its own infrastructure. You subscribe, you open the app, you make things. There is nothing to configure.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, from Manage billing inside the app. You keep access through the end of the period you paid for.

Which models are included?

Seedance 2.0, Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0 Pro, Nano Banana Pro and 2, FLUX, Hailuo 2.3, Wan 2.6, Grok Imagine (including the new Pro tier), GPT Image 2, Topaz upscalers, and 160+ more. New models are added as they ship.

Can I use my own footage and audio?

Yes. Drag video, images, and audio straight onto the canvas. Scrub video in place, see audio as waveforms, split clips frame by frame, merge takes, and mix all of it with generations on the same boards and in the same animatic.

What do I get when I export?

An edit bundle: your panels as PNGs, your audio, and a timeline XML that Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve open as a pre-cut sequence in shot order. You can also export storyboards as PDF or PNG, or render the animatic as a video.

Is this a storyboarding tool?

It covers what storyboard and pre-production apps do, then keeps going. Dedicated board tools stop at the boards. Coveboard puts moodboards, generation, storyboards, animatics, and the handoff to your editor on one canvas.
